The Chesney - Carlisle house now shines against the evening sun, the result of several years of efforts by its owners, Dwight and Christine Sexton to restore it. It recieved the Bucyrus Preservation Society's 4th Architectural Conservation Excellence Award (ACE) plaque to denote is as one of the best of the best efforts to restore a Bucyrus property. Original fireplace returned and restored to the Chesney - Carlisle Home. The fireplace is probably the work of the master carpenters at the Roehr Mills, forerunner of the O.F. Kime Lumber Co. This fine woodwork can be found in several Bucyrus homes and was said to be used in the U.S. Treasury and FBI office buildings in Washington, D.C. (Submitted Photo)
