On Thursday, Dec. 4th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., First Presbyterian Church at 125 S. Poplar St., plans to open their doors and invite people to come for a visit during the festive Candlelight Christmas in Bucyrus. We are offering mini-tours of our precious Presbyterian Dolls and their part in our church history in our Heritage Room. We are doing mini-tours of our Noah Mural in our nursery room. Members of the Gamma Delta group are offering tastes of delicious recipes from their newly printed cook book, which includes much of our church and doll history as well. What GREAT Christmas gifts these could make. The Gamma Delta group is of long standing within the church. They meet monthly from September through June. Most members are very actively involved in church committees and activities. One of their major current missions is to begin fund building for the needs of our "growing and most welcome" group of young people, toddlers, and babies now adding their lives and spirits to our church family. The future will bring many trips, camps, and needs for them. The intentions are to help assist in those areas. The cook book sales will be a great addition to that mission. During Candlelight Christmas, see our beautiful windows and sanctuary aglow with holiday trimmings in readiness for this holy and sacred season. We offer an invitation to attend our Christmas services and hear the readings, lessons, and beautiful music during our "Joyous Celebration" of the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.
