BUCYRUS, OH - The Lincoln Highway Chapter of the P.O.C.I. held their 4th annual Car and Truck Show at Haydocy Motors on Saturday, September 6th. The Car and Truck Show was another great success. Proceeds of the show benefited "Make A Wish Foundation".
Another special event was the 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off. So there was plenty of chili to enjoy and sample all day long.
Then to help the area for it's blood needs, the American Red Cross was present collecting blood. "We did marvelous! Our goal was to collect 25 units, but we exceeded that, by collecting 31 units", said Dallas Taynor with the American Red Cross.
One of the fun events was the "Goo Golf" for the kids and the kids at heart. This was where the kids got to play golf using marshmallows as the golf ball and for the tee. Kids and adults had four large hoops placed down range. The hoops had values of 5 or 10 points depending on the size of the hoops. The kids got to use a plastic club, while the adults used an oversized plastic iron to hit the marshmallows. Amazingly enough, the kids got more distance out of their clubs, than the adults. To finally get a winner for the adults, the hoops were moved closer to the tee, than what the kids had them. It still brought lots of laughs to all who watched.
